BMC air filters are washable and reusable. BMC recommend for the filter to be cleaned every 25,000km to maintain optimum performance.
BMC - Replacement Filter Elements
BMC replacement air filters are made from multi-layered cotton, soaked in low viscosity oil, inserted between two aluminium grids. The aluminium netting is treated with epoxy resin to protect it from oxidation caused by fuel vapours and humidity in the air.
