The BMC CDASP-01 is essentially the CDA85-150 except it has an 80 mm bosch air flow sensor connection and a flush fitting engine side connection.
Suitable for vehicles which use the 80 mm bosch, including; Audi S2 2.2 Turbo Audi A4 B5 1.8i + 1.8i Turbo Audi A4 B5 2.5 TDi V6 Audi A6 Series 1 2.5 TDi BMW X5 (E53) 3.0i Seat Leon Series 1 1.8 20V Volvo S40 2.0 16v Turbo You may need certain extra accessories in conjunction with the CDASP-01 in order to install the filter to your car. BMC Carbon Dynamic Airbox (CDA) The CDA filtering system is composed of a cylindrical airbox in real carbon fibre, containing a washable filtering element. The choice of the composite material is due to the fact that carbon has a low thermal conductivity allowing insulation from the engine heat to the aspirated air. Replacing the original airbox with the CDA, fresh air is directly channelled to the filter, thermally insulated inside the carbon airbox and is convoyed to the engine through an air flow deflector with a minimum loss of energy. The kit also contains a flexible tube (60cm length) to connect the CDA system to a frontal air intake. The CDA was born as a universal system fitting every kind of car, the different applications are completed by a broad spread of accessories that are necessary for the installation. The CDA is available in two versions: The first with an external diameter of 130mm and is recommended for engines up to 1600 cc. The second with an external diameter of 150mm, For greather displacements.
CDA - Advanced Technology The CDA filtering system is connected to a frontal air intake through a flexible tube. Thanks to the dynamic air intake you get a real supercharging system that conveys fresh cool air to the air box at a speed and capacity grater than the traditional systems. The air flow entering through the dynamic intake is further accelerated thanks to the air flow deflector inside the carbon fibre airbox. Therefor, dynamic over boosting, greater airflow, higher pressure and colder air are the elements assuring a significant increase of the engines performance in power and torque, as demonstrated on dyno tests carried out. |
